Stewardship
Orthodox Christian Stewardship is a way of life that emphasizes accountability, reverence, and responsibility before God. The primary aim of Stewardship is to foster spiritual growth and deepen faith. It begins with a belief in God, to whom we offer our love, trust, and loyalty, and it involves acting on those beliefs. As Stewards, we recognize that every part of our lives is a gift from God. Stewardship inspires us to joyfully return a portion of these blessings to Him.
Christian stewardship involves being a responsible and compassionate caretaker of Christ’s Church. It is about embracing Church life, finding joy in serving the Church, and recognizing the presence of the Holy Spirit within Her. Stewardship reflects our commitment to dedicate our time, talents, and resources to serve others, acknowledging Christ’s love and sacrifice. It is demonstrated through our care for others, offering ourselves to God as He offered Himself to us, and living out our faith in action. True stewardship is devotion to God and His Church, expressed as individuals, families, parishes, and as part of the broader Orthodox community.
An Orthodox Christian Steward actively participates in the life of the Church. The parish encourages everyone who embraces the Orthodox Faith to live as committed Stewards. Each year, Stewards are invited to prayerfully assess their personal circumstances and pledge their time, talents, and financial support to the Parish and its Ministries. These contributions help sustain the Parish’s work and the broader efforts of our Archdiocese, Metropolises, and affiliated institutions.
